With 6.5 there is an option in Enterprise Manager to Transfer the database.
We ran that daily along with the tape backup.
We haven't figured out how to do the transfer in SQL 7.0. The tranfer
tables doesn't have the option to drop the tables on the remote server and
the transfer all objects doesn't work. (It just sits at 0% complete for an
hour.)
I haven't looked at replication yet. A scheduled replication might work for
SQL 7. I'm not sure I like continuous replication because if the primary
database gets hosed, the backup would get hosed immediately as well.

I have been thinking about this.. Do you use replication? or how do you
synch your data?

We run SQL on our two radius servers. That way even if one sql server
goes down, customers can still login.

Best configuration is:
SQL on a server
Radius on 2 servers
Emerald on your workstations.

Hi all. We have just purchased Emerald and RadiusNT. I'm the lucky
one who gets to install this fun stuff. :) I'm looking for any tips or
pointers that you may have from your past experience.
We are currently using ISPPower for billing and WindowsNT RAS for
authtencation. We IMail from ipSwitch.
One question I do have from the start. How do you have your
computers set up? Do you run SQL, Emerald and RadiusNT all on one box or do
you split them up?
Thanks in advance for any advice you might send my way.
