Hi Folks,
I been waiting for a time to interject and this looks good...;-)
If started putting all my scripts in to one easy to use Directory for an =
Emerald ASP interface.
So far it's not bad...
I plan on having a couple of the major features in it...however like =
Dale mentioned there are something's that should be left to be done by =
Emerald...
So far I incorporated my Incidents, Online, and RadLogs...I will soon =
have account display and creation finished...I don't plan on making any =
versions for people that don't do Pro-Rating...(I tried this with the =
sign up server and it was a nightmare)...I do have couple people that =
have volunteered some time so hopefully the program will go faster than =
what it did with the signup server.
I will have a zipped up version on my server with in the hour...
It has no read me's (yet) or docs and if you plan to use you should know =
a bit about your web server before trying it
You can find it at ftp://ftp.greennet.net/ISPs/EmeraldWeb100.zip
Hope this helps everyone.
Thanks
Will ,,,=3D^. .^=3D,,,

If they did realize that, they would be wrong. Emerald is not JUST =
a=20
DB front end. For example, when you add a user, it handles =
pro-rates,
interim invoices, etc. There is quite a bit more to managing user =

There are some simple function that could be made into a web=20
interface fairly easy (like incidents). However user management and
billing is NOT something I would recommend trying to replace from =
the
Emerald client.
So, when is IEA going to provide at least some basic stuff via a web =
interface? When I purchased Emerald at the end of last year, your sales =
department told me that the "next version" of Emerald would have a =
web-based interface. I didn't ask what "next version" meant, but I =
assumed it meant the next major release of the product. I don't think =
it's absolutely necessary to be able to do everything via the web, =
although it would be nice. :) It would, however, be very useful to be =
able to have a web interface that customers could use to see their =
time-on-line, billing/account history, get another printout of an =
invoice, etc. It would also be useful for admin/tech support personnel =
to be able to view who's online, view the RadLog, change passwords, set =
temporary extends, etc. from the web. I've contemplated doing this via =
Cold Fusion, but just haven't gotten around to it yet.=20
So, back to my original question, when are you guys going to provide =
us with at least some basic web functionality?
