You'll to stop, rename and then restart.

I wrote an exe that renames and timestamps files.

Give me a shout if you want it.

Hi Their, I have another question when trying to rename the file it says that the file is in use. Would you have to stop and start the Radius Service in the batch file aswell? if so how? and also instead of giving the file name acctx.log can i automatically add acct<date>.log giving a date stamp to the logfile?

Id like to thank all that have replied so far....

Regards, Vinay
