using IDC scripts with IIS and Emerald

Here's a real simple question: Is there a way for a single IDC file to run
two different SELECT queries?

I have one that I adopted from a script that Franco Nogarin made, to show
users currently online (using the Emerald db), and have modified about 98%
of the script and the HTX file associated with it. All I want to do is add
a second SELECT query that does nothing more than get the total users
online:

Can there be 2 or more SELECTs in an IDC file? If so, how is it done?
I've tried all sorts of things, but could never get the second SELECT to do
anything (no errors, though)

Taking the same exact scriptS into ISQL_w, works just fine...

IIS 3.0, NT 4.0, SQL 6.5
