remember there is security on the registry just like on files. If you
only
allow admin and the system to read the below, then only admin or the
system
can read it, and its secure. I don't know what a dump of the registry
(like on your Emergency Repair disk) looks like though, so that maybe a
weak point. But assuming physical security, it shouldn't be that bad of
a security issue, IMHO.

I believe it works on both. I still favor a service, though. :)
