I am getting the following error whenever I dump a database (Emerald, =
tempdb, pubs, etc) in SQL 6.5:
Error : 1105, Severity: 17, State: 1
Can't allocate space for object 'sysbackupdetail' in database 'msdb' =
because the 'default' segment is full. If you ran out of space in =
Syslogs, dump the transaction log. Otherwise, use ALTER DATABASE or =
sp_extendsegment to increase the size of the segment.=20
I was thinking of doing a CheckDB on the msdb database, then =
Recalculating it and
then Truncating the msdb transaction log. I was wondering if anyone =
thinks this is a good idea or not. =20
Also, maybe I should expand the msdb data and log devices? Right now =
they are:
Data size: 6MB (0.90MB available)
Log size: 2MB (2.00MB available)
We have about 1050 MBR's under Emerald 2.1.8 (I'm not sure if that's =
relevant).
If anyone thinks my plan of action is very bad, I would appreciate your =
advice. (Or if you think it's good, it would help me to know that, =
too.) =20
