Dale:
I am indeed using CR7. (all of my machines are set up to handle CR7 reports
in Emerald)
I use Outlook 98 for mail and I have it set up to display all plain text
mail using Courier New 10, the same font I am using in Crystal Reports.
The most bizarre thing is that I can print to a text file from within CR and
then open/print it with Notepad/Wordpad using Courier 10 and everything is
just as I would expect it to be. It is only when Emerald comes into play
that the number of characters between report elements increases. That's the
actual problem... that there are additional spaces in the mailed report.
How does Emerald get the report data to the mailer? Does Emerald parse the
report data in any way before mailing it or does Crystal handle the
formatting exclusively?
The plot thickens...
